Mahon, in the Balearic Islands belonging to Spain and located in the Mediterranean. The beautiful harbour, the largest natural port in the Mediterranean region, is a popular starting point for yachts and cruise ships. The island can be easily explored from here in a hired car. But you can also just as well stay in Mahon and visit the many places of interest in town as part of a hired car tour of the city. Possible destinations here could be the three forts, the many buildings from the time of English occupation and the medieval city gate. Add to this a number of interesting museums and churches.
